Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach reaches a new high as it’s French restaurant, Plantation, reveals a new look and an exciting new menu.


We tried their new menu last week, along with other media personalities, and we had a blast—the blend of the ambiance, the company, and the food is just perfect for capping off that lovely night.

The meals are prepared by Sofitel JBR’s Executive Chef Vladimiro Gadioli, a recognized gastronomic expert.

The fresh concept, “Cassolette”, still retains the subtle essence of a French touch but Plantation gains a distinct identity as Cassolette is comprised of several variations of tastes, focusing on Mediterranean and European flavours. Everything is there: meat, poultry, cheese, seafood, veg, and pasta. Shisha lovers can also enjoy on the outdoor terrace. Plantation has this certain inviting and laidback atmosphere, dominated by earthy colours and traditional furniture.


A cassolette is a cast iron pot in which food is prepared; with this, every meal in Plantation reminds us of the taste of home.

The price? It’s very competitive with other restaurants in malls (we’re not even kidding. We were surprised on how affordable the food are, considering the quality and quantity!). If you want a quiet and delightful time with a view of the sky and the turquoise sea, Plantation is the place.
