If you’re a meat-lover, you’re gonna be a fan of Gunaydin, we’re sure.

We at Bien, together with some of the bloggers in the city, had the pleasure of meeting ‘Professor of Meat’ Cüneyt Asan, co-founder and master chef of Günaydin, one of the latest food places to pop up at Souk al Bahar.

Günaydin, the pioneer of the “Steakhouse” in Turkey, offers dishes prepared with only the high-quality meats among other Turkish delights (pun intended). Now with 44 restaurants across Turkey, this restaurant started as a small butcher shop in Istanbul back in 1965. The restaurant also provides a different kebab experience for meat-lovers with a wide range of offerings. Its menu also includes the traditional meatball, döner and home-made burgers, among with traditional Turkish dessert favorites like Kunefe (our fave!), Katmer and Baklava.

Great location is always a plus. With views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain, this is a great go-to place if you’re celebrating something special or if you just want to marvel on these Dubai tourist spots while devouring on high-quality dishes. Price points are reasonable as well, considering the location and the quality of food they serve.

The restaurant is quite big: it is spread over 800 square meters and can seat 124 hungry meat and Turkish cuisine patrons. If you want to watch the Dubai Fountain then you may choose their outdoor seating but if you’d rather delight yourself with their open-kitchen concept, you may opt to sit inside and watch the meat being grilled to perfection or their mezzes being prepared.

Cüneyt Asan said that he is “here to quench the thirst of Dubai’s meat lovers and have them marvel at the magic that the finest quality meat can make.”

Günaydin is open seven days a week, from 12PM to 12 midnight. For reservations, call +971 4 554 0700.
